MLA Rick Wowchuk presents a cheque for $17,250 to Swan Valley RISE Economic Development Officer Heather Nielsen and Marketing Co-ordinator Stacy Grindle
These grants were announced in November 2016 by Tourism Development Fund, Growth, Enterprise and Trade Minister Cliff Cullen.
MLA Rick Wowchuk took pleasure in being able to present Swan Valley RISE with their cheque on Thursday afternoon in his Swan River Constituency office. Manitoba has unique and exciting destinations that should be shared with visitors from around the world and Swan Valley is no exception! The Tourism Development Fund is set up to assist communities and local organizations in expanding and promoting their unique Manitoba stories and Swan Valley Rise was awarded this grant so that we in the Swan Valley can tell our unique story.
RISE Using Grant To Develop A Tourism Development Plan
In addition to the major tourist attractions in our province there is so much more to see and do. This grant will help the Swan Valley promote our unique tourism experience here in our Valley.
Tourism generates more than $1.6 billion in economic activity across Manitoba including both permanent and seasonal jobs.
