\nChief Administrative Officer – Pat Ellingson<\/p>\n

Absent with Permission – Deputy Mayor Scouten<\/p>\n

\nPacak Kowal, Hardie & Company Chartered Accountants – Terry Gnida and Bruce Hardie
\nBenito Fire Department – Deputy Fire Chief – William Woytkiw and Interim Acting Fire Chief Tom Lyons<\/p>\n

Mayor Meadows called the meeting to order at 7:00pm<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held on December 13, 2011 and the Specal Meeting held on December 14, 2011 be adopted as presented.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the agenda for the meeting held on January 10, 2012 be adopted as amended.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the Audit Report and Financial Statements as prepared by Pacak Kowal, Hardie & Company Chartered Accountants, for the Year ending December 31, 2010 be accepted as presented.

\nRESOLVED that accounts numbered 23678 and 23776 in the amount totaling $106,233.52 be ratified as paid.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the Village of Benito authorize payment of the (WRARS) Landfill Levy to Green Manitoba for the reporting period July 1 to December 31, 2011 in the amount of $941.54 as required by the Waste Reduction and Recycling Support Program.

\nRESOLVED that the Village of Benito authorize the 2011 grant to the Benito and District Recreation Complex in the amount of $1,000.00.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nBE IT RESOLVED that the Village appoint Bernice Bowley of Winnipeg, Manitoba as the Village Solicitor for the Year 2012.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the Village of Benito authorize payment of the December remittances as follows:
\nPublic School Finance Board $255.29
\nSwan Valley School Division $975.90
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the Village of Benito extend the 2006 Agreement made with Louis Delaurier of Swan River, Manitoba to provide Municipal Part 9 Building Code inspection services for the period from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012; and
\nBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 2011 fees as per Schedule “A” affixed hereto be approved for payment.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nWHEREAS the Employee overtime reports have been received and reviewed by Council;
\nBE IT RESOLVED that the said reports be approved for payment as presented.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the Chief Administrative Officer and the Office Clerk be authorized to attend the training offered by Munisoft in Minitonas on February 11, 2012; and
\nBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that registration and expenses be authorized for payment.
