Volunteer of the Year Award \u2013 Kyle Mahan was recognized by the Swan Valley District Recreation Commission for his committement and dedication in having the Skateboard become a reality.<\/p>\n

Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation represented by Warren Radbourne, Maintenance Engineer of West Central Region and Arni Pedersen, Maintenance Superintendent, Swan River advised the Council of the four levels of roadways and the priority sequence followed when doing snow clearing and removal.<\/p>\n

3.\tRESOLVED that the quotation for a Schulte SDX-117 Snow Blower received from Nykolaishen Farm Equipment of Swan River, MB and as outlined on Schedule \u201cA\u201d attached be accepted.

5.\tRESOLVED that Mohinder Singh\u2019s Offer to purchase the 1981 Ford 800 Fire Truck, for the sum of $3,000.00 be accepted.

10.\tWHEREAS the Town of Swan River has indicated an interest in participating in the Product Care Association household hazardous waste stewardship plan as a full service collection depot operator;
\nAND WHEREAS Product Care Association is contacting prospective Household Hazardous Waste Collection Depot Operators to see if they would be interested in participating in this plan;
\nNOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Engineering Department be authorized to submit an Expression of Interest in Establishing a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Depot Site at the Swan River Waste Disposal Grounds.

11.\tRESOLVED that Council authorize the firm of Taxervice to conduct the 2012 Property Tax Sale as per their letter November 23rd, 2011.

12.\tRESOLVED that the 2012 Tax Sale be held at 2:00 P.M., September 19th, 2012, that 2011 be the designated year, as the year for which properties, the taxes in respect of which are in arrears for the year, be offered for sale by auction to recover the tax arrears and cost.
\nAND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town of Swan River place a reserve bid on all properties up to the amount of arrears and costs.

13.\tRESOLVED that, pursuant to Section 152(3) of The Municipal Act, Council go into Committee and close the meeting to the public.
