Mayor Meadows called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held on September 13, 2011 be adopted as presented.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the agenda for the meeting held on September 27, 2011 be adopted as amended.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nBE IT RESOLVED that the September Maintenance report be accepted as presented by the Maintenance Supervisor.

\nRESOLVED that the Financial Statement to the month ending, August 31, 2011 be accepted as presented.

\nWHEREAS the Village of Benito has received a request from a resident to construct a secondary driveway to their property to allow access to the back yard; and
\nWHEREAS the Village of Benito policy manual provides for such access;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Benito approve the request for the secondary driveway at the property located at 129 Third Avenue.

\nRESOLVED that the Village of Benito authorize the purchase of a Ventis multi gas monitor and an Airaware chlorine monitor as per Schedule \u201cA\u201d attached hereto.

\nWHEREAS the building located on the property described as Desc 5\/6 Block 1 Plan 362 in the Village of Benito is abandoned and believed to be structurally unsafe; and
\nWHEREAS attempts to contact the registered owner have been unsuccessful;
\nWHEREAS the Village must deem the building to be structurally unsafe in order to take the appropriate action of demolishing the building to ensure the safety of the general public and the buildings located next to it;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Benito accept the tender from C.A. REED & ASSOCIATES LTD. To conduct an Engineering Structural assessment of said building as per the quote attached hereto as Schedule \u2018A\u2019.

\nBE IT RESOLVED that changes to Policy #400 to #750 be adopted as presented.

\nRESOLVED that the Village of Benito accept the quote attached hereto as Schedule \u201cA\u201d for repairs as outlined for the Compacting Garbage Truck.

\nRESOLVED that the Village of Benito authorize attendance of members of Council to attend the AMM Convention in Brandon, Manitoba from November 21-24, 2011 as per the Village of Benito Policy and Procedures Manual; and
\nBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that registration and eligible expenses as per policy be herby authorized for payment.

\nRESOLVED that the Village of Benito authorize payment of invoice for travel accident insurance policy as per invoice attached hereto.
