\"\"<\/a>A Regular Meeting of Council of the Village of Benito was called to order at 7:00 pm on Tuesday September 13, 2011 in the Village Council Chambers.<\/br>

\nDeputy Mayor Scouten;
\nCouncilor Schneider; Councilor Offenberger;
\nAbsent with permission: Councilor Zebinski
\nChief Administrative Officer ~ Pat Ellingson<\/p>\n

Delegation: R. M. of Livingstone ~ M. Kalinowsky was present to discuss road issues.<\/p>\n

Mayor Meadows called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held on August 9, 2011 be adopted as presented.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the agenda for the meeting held on September 13, 2011 be adopted as amended.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that By-Law #01\/11, being a By-Law of the Village of Benito to provide for the expenditure and borrowing of funds for the roof replacement project at the Benito Recreation Complex be read a second time.

\nRESOLVED that accounts numbered 23475 to 23519 in the amount totaling $75,789.01 be ratified as paid.

\nRESOLVED that the Financial Statement for the month ending December 2010 be accepted as presented.

\nRESOLVED that the Bank Statement and Reconciliation and the Financial Statement to the month ending July 31, 2011 be accepted as presented.

\nRESOLVED that the September Animal Control Report be accepted as presented by the Animal Control Officer.

\nWHEREAS Section 326(1) of the Municipal Act provides for the correction of taxes due to improvement on the property requires an increase because of the physical condition of the improvement as reported by the Assessment Branch;
\nAND WHEREAS the Village of Benito tax roll has properties which requires such corrections;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that property taxes totaling $1888.96 as per Schedule \u201cA\u201d affixed hereto be hereby added to the respective tax roll.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nWHEREAS Section (300)(6) of the Municipal Act provides for the correction of taxes due to changes in the physical condition or reclassification of properties as reported by the Assessment Branch;
\nAND WHEREAS the Village of Benito tax roll has properties which required such corrections;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that property taxes totaling $79.38 as per Schedule \u201cA\u201d affixed hereto be hereby cancelled.

\nSCOUTEN
\nWHEREAS the Village of Benito was surrounded by spring flooding; and
\nWHEREAS the Village of Benito may have damages to municipal property and have incurred miscellaneous costs due to the flooding; and
\nWHEREAS financial help will be required;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Benito request financial assistance from the Manitoba Disaster Financial Assistance Board.

\nRESOLVED that The Village of Benito authorize payment of the 2011 Membership Fees to the Association of Manitoba Municipalities in the amount of $644.14.

\nWHEREAS the Employee overtime report has been received and reviewed by Council;
\nBE IT RESOLVED that the said report be approved for payment as presented.
