GIS officers were assisted by Swan River RCMP, the RCMP West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team, the RCMP West District GIS and Police Dog Services.<\/p>\n<p>After executing the warrants, RCMP found and seized approximately:<\/p>\n<p>45 grams of powder cocaine;<br \/>\nVarious drug paraphernalia, including scales and packaging materials;<br \/>\nNearly $1,600 in cash; and<br \/>\nThree pellet guns (replica handguns).<br \/>\nSix people were arrested at the scene without incident.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/2028-08-31-swan-river-drug-bust.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/2028-08-31-swan-river-drug-bust-475x356.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"475\" height=\"356\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-41008\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/2028-08-31-swan-river-drug-bust-475x356.jpg 475w, https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/2028-08-31-swan-river-drug-bust-228x171.jpg 228w, https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/2028-08-31-swan-river-drug-bust-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/2028-08-31-swan-river-drug-bust.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 475px) 100vw, 475px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Carla Slepicka, 49, of Swan River is charged with:<br \/>\nDrug trafficking; and<br \/>\nPossession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.<\/p>\n<p>Wayne Cook, 45, of Sapotaweyak Cree Nation is charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>Both Slepicka and Cook were remanded into custody.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Makasoff, 38, of Swan River is charged with:<br \/>\nDrug trafficking; and<br \/>\nPossession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.<\/p>\n<p>Lawrence Severight, 56, of Cote First Nation in Saskatchewan is charged with:<br \/>\nDrug possession for the purpose of trafficking; and<br \/>\nPossession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.<\/p>\n<p>Two people \u2013 Dustin McDuff, 45, of Swan River and 22-year-old Kaylee Keefe of Kenville are both charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>Makasoff, Severeight, McDuff and Keefe were all released on undertakings.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation continues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RCMP Media Release On Aug. 28, at approximately 4:15 p.m., RCMP arrested six people at a property on the 300-block of 7th Avenue South in Swan River as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
