\nWHEREAS Council previously approved $18,182.75 to purchase and replace two 120-gallon hot water tanks at the Centennial Arena; and
\nWHEREAS Taylor Electric, while completing the electrical hookup for the installation, identified wiring and components that were in violation of electrical code and posed an immediate safety and fire hazard; and
\nWHEREAS Taylor Electric was already contracted for the project and completed the required safety upgrades, including the installation of three-phase breakers, emergency shutoff switches, proper connectors, and the replacement of deteriorated wiring, to ensure the system met safety standards and electrical Code;
\nBE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Swan River approve the payment of Taylor Electric\u2019s additional invoice for required electrical safety upgrades in the amount of $6,449.79, with funds to be drawn from the Recreation Reserve, the same reserve allocated for the original hot water tank replacement project.
