We hope that you took the opportunity to visit the Spooktober Halloween event on October 17 and 18, 2025 at the SV Historical Museum grounds. It was hosted by the North-West Regional Library and offered a Halloween experience for all ages.<\/p>\n

The Museum Main Hall provided many experiences for those choosing a less scary experience. ECFC Headstart program delighted children under 6 years with fun games and a new bike course to travel. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Dodi (Head Librarian) and her helpers offered free face painting to children and adults as well. Also in the main building, the SVRSS Art Club & Tammy Zaretsky-Denischuk offered a hands-on discovery of what witch\u2019s fingers, teeth and brains might feel like in their tactile experience. A new highlight was the Cookie Monster there to distribute candy bags as children headed home from the festivities.<\/p>\n

A big highlight returning to Spooktober was the mini-train ride. The Ukele group assisted with embarkment with Joey Slack & Max Polon as train conductors through the evenings. It was a constantly busy area.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

If willing to brave a scarier experience, there were 3 points of challenge this year.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Doreen\u2019s Witches way in the Gulash Building could creep you out with oversized skeletons, witches & bears as you travelled through a maze of Halloween d\u00e9cor.<\/p>\n

The Wicked Way themed Octagon house kept you leaping from scare to scare in this intriguing old house. Out of this world dressed actors would jump out of the most unexpected places to add to your fear. Many screaming runners were witnessed fleeing the startling man on the top of the shipping container banging his bat.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

New this year was the covered outdoor maze. On your journey through this maze, one came upon characters materializing out the dark, leaping spiders and other creepy beings as one crept down the dark trail.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The addition of the outdoor screen presentation of music, trivia & video created by TerriBoyd was greatly enjoyed by children & adults throughout the evening. Another first thisyear, barbequed hot dogs & a drink were on sale to the many that enjoyed this extra treat.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Children & youth received goodie bags of candy as well. This plus snacks for the over 110 actors and volunteers necessary each evening to create this Spooktober event were generously donated by many Swan Valley businesses and food establishments.<\/p>\n

All aspects of this event were generously supported by businesses, organizations and individuals to make it the great success that it was. The North-West Regional Library appreciates all of the support that was received for this significant new fund raiser.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
