During her time in office, she was the chair of the Recreation and Cultural Services Committee, where she championed numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents. Most notably, she was a strong and vocal advocate for the development of a new arena. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cTracy brought a spark to Council \u2014 a fresh voice with a deep care for our youth and the future of our town,\u201d said Mayor Jacobson. \u201cShe had a unique ability to see potential where others saw challenges, and her passion for building a stronger community was evident in everything she did.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>While the Town regrets her departure, we respect her decision and thank her for her service. <\/p>\n<p>The Town of Swan River will provide further information in the coming days regarding an upcoming By-Election to fill this vacant seat. <\/p>\n<p>On behalf of Council and the residents of Swan River, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Councillor Boychuk for her dedication and wish her all the best in her future endeavors. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Town of Swan River Media Release May 13, 2025 Swan River, Manitoba \u2013 Mayor Lance Jacobson today announced the immediate resignation of Councillor Tracy Boychuk from the Town of Swan River Council.
