Officers attended immediately and located an injured 34-year-old male.<br \/>\n<\/br><br \/>\nLife-saving measures were attempted by officers, but the male succumbed to his injuries on scene. The death was determined to be a homicide and RCMP Major Crime Services became engaged and took carriage of the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>At approximately 4:30 am on June 3, 2024, a deceased female, 52, was located in the area where the first male was located.<\/p>\n<p>A potential suspect was identified, and by approximately 5:25 am, the 19-year-old male was contained in a residence in the community. Shots were fired at RCMP officers from the residence. No officers were physically injured. The suspect attempted to flee the residence on an off-road vehicle but was apprehended by the attending officers and Dauphin Police Dog Services.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect remains in custody at this time.
