\nWHEREAS the Community Foundation of Swan Valley is a charitable organization that is focused on the creation of permanent endowment funds;
\nAND WHEREAS the Community Foundation\u2019s goals include the promotion of philanthropy in the Swan Valley, sustaining permanently endowed funds, fulfilling community needs, and providing community leadership;
\nAND WHEREAS the Community Foundation promotes the development of children, youth and seniors\u2019 programs, promotes the arts, cultural and heritage activities, and promotes the enhancement of the environment;
\nAND WHEREAS the Community Foundation supports health, wellness, sports and recreation as well as other community activities and facilities;
\nAND WHEREAS the Community Foundation is a vehicle for donors to contribute their cash, trusts, bequests or real property to create permanent endowments that will build and improve our Swan Valley community;
\nTHEREFORE, on behalf of the Town of Swan River, we do hereby proclaim February 25 to March 2, 2024 as Community Foundation of Swan Valley Awareness Week in Swan River.

\nWHEREAS the Town of Swan River used municipal equipment, materials and labour to carry out private works on private property under The Municipal Act clause 250(2)(e), and set the fees and charges for the works under clause 252(1)(a) of The Act;
\nAND WHEREAS sufficient time has been allowed for payment of such outstanding amounts as listed on the attached Schedule “A” totaling $1,264.39;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT each of the unpaid amounts listed on Schedule “A” be added to the corresponding property tax roll and collected in that manner under subsection 252(2) of The Act;
\nBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT notice be sent to each property owner detailing the amounts being added to the taxes and advising that interest will accrue on said amounts in the same manner as for unpaid property taxes effective March 1st, 2024.
