\nCouncillors: Wilmer Malcolm, Steve Nadolney, Nestor Rizok, Connie Forbes, Arnie Pedersen and Brad Wyatt.
\nCAO Paige Larocque was present and acted as secretary.
\nFinance Officer Kim Paterson was also present. <\/p>\n

This meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by Reeve Robert Hanson, quorum being present.<\/p>\n

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the Agenda for the Special Budget Meeting of Council be adopted as presented.

3. \tCommunity Futures – Universal Broadband Fund<\/p>\n

\nWHEREAS the Parkland Community Futures is applying along with RIONET and other participating municipalities and partners for an application under the Universal Broadband Fund;
\nAND WHEREAS the anticipated funding amount for the RM of Mountain would be $99,459.00 repayable to the Municipality once the project has been completed;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby confirm their participation in the Parkland Community Futures application to the Universal Broadband Fund pending UBF approval and municipal lending approval;
\nAND THAT the Reeve or CAO be authorized to sign on behalf of the Municipality.
