Reports of Committees <\/p>\n<p>7.1 Resolution No: 2019-231<br \/>\nSuperintendent of Works Report<br \/>\nMoved By: Johnny Wintoniw<br \/>\nSeconded By: Jason Delaurier<br \/>\nRESOLVED the Superintendent of Works report be received.<br \/>\nCARRIED <\/p>\n<p>7.2 Other Reports <\/p>\n<p>7.2.1 Resolution No: 2019-232<br \/>\nTo receive the Fire Report<br \/>\nMoved By: Phylis Friesen<br \/>\nSeconded By: Johnny Wintoniw<br \/>\nRESOLVED that the July 2019 Fire Report be received.<br \/>\nCARRIED <\/p>\n<p>7.2.1.1 Resolution in support of Rail safety Week<br \/>\nWhereas Rail Safety Week is to be held across Canada from September 23 to 29, 2019;<br \/>\nWhereas it is in the public&#8217;s interest to raise citizens&#8217; awareness of the dangers of ignoring safety warnings at level crossings and trespassing on rail property to reduce avoidable deaths, injuries and damage caused by incidents involving trains and citizens;<br \/>\nWhereas Operation Lifesaver is a public\/private partnership whose aim is to work with the public, rail industry, governments, police services, media and others to raise rail safety awareness;<br \/>\nWhereas has requested Town Council adopt this resolution in support of its ongoing efforts to raise awareness, save lives and prevent injuries in communities, including our municipality;<br \/>\nIt is hereby RESOLVED that the Town of Swan River Council supports National Rail Safety Week to be held from September 23 to 29, 2019. <\/p>\n<p>7.2.2 Resolution No: 2019-233<br \/>\nTo receive the July Handivan report<br \/>\nMoved By: Johnny Wintoniw<br \/>\nSeconded By: Duane Whyte<br \/>\nRESOLVED that the July 2019 Handivan Report be received.<br \/>\nCARRIED <\/p>\n<p>7.3 Vet Committee Information <\/p>\n<p>7.4 Council and CAO Reports <\/p>\n<p>8 New Business <\/p>\n<p>8.1 Resolution No: 2019-234<br \/>\nTable and chair donation policy<br \/>\nMoved By: Duane Whyte<br \/>\nSeconded By: Phylis Friesen<br \/>\nRESOLVED that the in Kind Table and Chair Donations Policy be approved.<\/p>\n<p>8.2 Resolution No: 2019-235<br \/>\nDonation request &#8211; Swan Valley Stampeders<br \/>\nMoved By: Jason Delaurier<br \/>\nSeconded By: Duane Whyte<br \/>\nWHEREAS the Swan Valley Stampeders Junior &#8220;A&#8221; Hockey Club (&#8220;the Club&#8221;) have a Management Agreement with the Town of Swan River (&#8220;the Town&#8221;) to manage the Resource Room Lounge at the Swan River Centennial Arena;<br \/>\nAnd WHEREAS the Club is required to provide 80% of the profits of the Lounge to the Town who is the licensee of the facility at all Swan Valley Stampeders games and events;<br \/>\nAnd WHEREAS the Club has requested that the profits from the Lounge be donated back to the Club;<br \/>\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Swan River donate any profits, excluding any arena costs, received from the Centennial Arena Resource Room Lounge, during Swan Valley Stampeders games and events, back to the Swan Valley Stampeders Junior &#8220;A&#8221; Hockey Club each during the 2018 &#8211; 2019 season and the 2019-2020 season provided the Club has fulfilled all requirements as set out in the Management Agreement as well as have no outstanding balance owing the Town.<br \/>\nCARRIED <\/p>\n<p>8.3 Resolution No: 2019-236<br \/>\n2019 Capital &#8211; Purchase 1\/2 ton and Passenger Van<br \/>\nMoved By: David Moriaux<br \/>\nSeconded By: Phylis Friesen<br \/>\nRESOLVED that the Town accept the quotation submitted by Redline Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Ltd. for a 2019 Dodge Caravan CVP in the amount of $31,264.85 plus applicable taxes;<br \/>\nAND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town accept the quotation submitted by Capital GMC Buick Cadillac for a 2019 GMC Sierra 1\/2 ton in the amount of $28,575.00 plus applicable taxes.<br \/>\nCARRIED <\/p>\n<p>8.4 Resolution No: 2019-237<br \/>\nLine Striper Replacement &#8211; Possible Resolution<br \/>\nMoved By: David Gray<br \/>\nSeconded By: Johnny Wintoniw<br \/>\nRESOLVED that the Town of Swan River accept the quotation submitted by Northern Specialties for a GRACO 3400 Line Striper in the amount of $5,500.00 plus applicable taxes.<br \/>\nCARRIED <\/p>\n<p>9 Unfinished Business <\/p>\n<p>10 By-Laws <\/p>\n<p>10.1 Possible Resolution<br \/>\nResolved that the Purchasing Policy (Procurement) be read a second time. <\/p>\n<p>11 Accounts <\/p>\n<p>11.1 Resolution No: 2019-238<br \/>\nTo approve accounts<br \/>\nMoved By: Johnny Wintoniw<br \/>\nSeconded By: David Moriaux<br \/>\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the accounts as follows be hereby approved for payment:<br \/>\n1.
