In July, the Community Foundation of Swan Valley (CFSV) received a donation of $7,500 from the Swan Valley Teachers\u2019 Association. The endowment will establish the new \u201cSwan Valley Teachers\u2019 Assoc. Recreation & Education Fund\u201d. The fund will be a \u201cfield of interest fund\u201d with the annual interest being used to support grant applications that encourage sports, physical fitness and\/or the advancement of education of youth or youth community groups in the Swan River Valley.<\/p>\n

The CFSV thanks SVTA for their contribution and encourages others to consider a donation to the CFSV in celebration of birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions, as a lasting tribute in memory of a loved one, or as part of their will. Each endowment with the Community Foundation provides a never-ending source of income to thecommunity. The original gift remains untouched and the interest earned is used to support local charities, scholarships and bursaries. <\/p>\n
