Twenty-four Junior Men\u2019s and Junior Women\u2019s teams will be competing for the U18 Championship.<\/p>\n
Local teams competing for the Junior Women\u2019s are Team Sagert \u2013 Skip – Presley Sagert, Third – Bryn Zamzow, Second \u2013 Madison Sagert, throwing Lead stones and holding broom in the house, Eden Betcher. Team Sagert is the 2018 U15 Manitoba Games Gold Medalist and expects to bring their experience and success with them to U18 Provs. Coach Kelly Tibble and Assistant Coach Sandra Tibble have been preparing their team for strong competition throughout the season.<\/p>\n
Team Meyn consists of Jessi Meyn, throwing 3rd stones and calling the game, Cloe Haluschak, throwing fourth stones, Matty Scales at Second position and Laina Leadbeater starting off the ends at Lead position. As a novice team, along with the leadership of Coach Jeffrey Leadbeater, Team Meyn will use this event as a stepping stone to build skills and gain experience.<\/p>\n
Another family member in the Meyn household, Karter Meyn will be representing the Junior Men\u2019s Division, skipping Team Williamson. Their combined Dauphin\/Swan River foursome of Carter Williamson throwing Third stones, Luke Davidson at Second and Douglas Hay playing Lead are no stranger to Swan River\u2019s ice surface. Ice Technician and Coach Kent Meyn will provide the strategy support for their squad.<\/p>\n

The first Junior Women\u2019s draw is scheduled for 5:30pm Thursday, March 7, 2019. Opening Ceremonies for all teams at 7:30pm, and first Junior Men\u2019s draw at 8:30pm. Games throughout the weekend and Finals on Sunday, March 10, 2019.<\/p>\n
Along with three local teams competing, there will be many good shots to cheer for! Come out and watch a few games and support our local curlers! No fee admission.<\/p>\n
