Shavin\u2019 for the Brave in the Valley is a fundraiser that Sharlyn Ricketts and Rachel Puchailo started to raise money for the Swan River Cancer Care. Pledges were collected and Sharlyn and Rachel shaved their heads following a Beef on a Bun Luncheon on November 4, 2018.<\/p>\n

The event was a fun time. We had Doreen Miles, Frankie Hankie and Andy Puchailo and Nick Badger who also shaved that day to show support for loved ones going through cancer. Nick Badger’s hair will be sent with Rachel Puchailo\u2019s hair to locks for love. <\/p>\n

The community really stepped up and made amazing donations toward the penny auction. <\/p>\n

Sharlyn and Rachel are truly greatful to all of the community in supporting them in this adventure. A cheque for $5,300 will be donated to the Swan Valley Cancer Care later this week. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
