Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council of The Rural Municipality of Mountain Held Wednesday, July 11th, 2018 in the R.M. of Mountain Council Chambers in Birch River, Manitoba.

Councillor Nadolney was absent with notice.
\nCAO Paige Larocque was present and acted as secretary.
\nFinance Officer Kim Paterson was also present.<\/p>\n
The meeting was called to order at 10:02 A.M. by Deputy Reeve Connie Forbes, \tquorum being present.<\/p>\n

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the Agenda for the July 11th, 2018 Regular Meeting of Council be adopted as presented.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the Minutes of the regular meeting of Council held June 27th, 2018 be adopted as amended, all requirements having been complied with.

\nWHEREAS Fire Department Purchasing Policy states that all purchases of the Fire \tDepartment must be authorized by Council in advance;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain \tapprove the purchase requests as per Schedule \u2018A\u2019 attached hereto.

Deputy Reeve Forbes declared an interest for Res. No. 280\/18 and left the meeting.
\nCouncillor Wyatt assumed the chair as Deputy Reeve.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED THAT Cheque Nos. 20180729 to 20180811 be approved for payment \tin the amount of $68,854.13, including Council Indemnities in the amount of \t$5,800.72 as per By-Law 03\/16 and Direct Deposit Payroll in the amount of \t$5,238.55 as attached hereto as Schedule \u2018A\u2019;
\n\tAND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT the direct payment amount of $6,195.07 \tfor Receiver General for June 2018 be hereby approved.

\nWHEREAS Section 152(3) of The Municipal Act and Section 8.8 of the By-Law No. 01\/16 authorize Council to close a meeting to the public to discuss certain matters;
\nAND WHEREAS Section 15.13 of By-Law #01\/16, The Procedures By-Law of The Rural Municipality of Mountain, instructs a member to;
\n \u201c\u2026keep in confidence a matter that is discussed at a meeting closed
\n to the public under subsection 152(3) of The Act until the matter is
\n discussed at a council meeting conducted in public.\u201d
\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain meet as a committee to discuss personnel.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby approve the Applications for Licences to Construct Water Control Works as attached hereto in Schedule \u2018A\u2019.

Councillor Larocque declared an interest for Res. No. 285\/18 and left the meeting.<\/p>\n

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby accept Request for Proposals for various surplus assets advertised by the Rural Municipality of Mountain and award the bids as follows:

\n\t\t\tBuilding B: Jesse Larocque
\n\t\t\tBuilding C: Jesse Larocque Total $500.00

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby approve the Minor Subdivision No. 4617-18-7449 in the NW 1-43-26WPM (Patience);

\nOverdue taxes, if any, are required to be paid as a condition of final approval.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby authorize the Chief Administrative Officer to destroy Municipal Documents under the Manitoba Regulation 53\/97 as per Schedule \u2018A\u2019 attached hereto.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby declare the 20th Annual Cowan Trail Celebration being held August 25th, 2018 a community event and open to the public.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby \tapprove the request for funding from the Bowsman Early Learning Centre Board \tMembers and commit $1,000.00 towards the construction of a day care centre in \tthe Bowsman School.
