Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain held Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 in the R.M. of Mountain Council Chambers in Birch River, Manitoba

\nFinance Officer Kim Paterson was also present.<\/p>\n
The meeting was called to order at 10:08 A.M. by Deputy Reeve Connie Forbes, \tquorum being present.<\/p>\n

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the Agenda for the June 27th, 2018 Regular Meeting of Council be adopted as amended.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the Minutes of the regular meeting of Council held June 13th, 2018 be adopted as presented, all requirements having been complied with.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law No. 05\/18, being a By-Law to establish and operate the solid waste management system within the Rural Municipality of Mountain, be given third and final reading; passed, signed and sealed.

\nWHEREAS Manitoba Municipal Government is accepting applications for the 2018 \tTransitional Municipal Road and Bridge Program;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain \thereby make application for the maximum annual grant available for the following \tprojects, in order of priority:
\nRoad 132W (.5 miles) SE 1-34-23W;
\nRoad 233N (.5 miles);
\nRoad 206N NE 9-35-20W;
\nRoad 236N 11-40-25W;
\nRoad 191N (2 miles) 31-32-23W
\nAND THAT the CAO be authorized to sign on behalf of the Municipality.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby cancel taxes as per Schedule \u2018A\u2019 attached hereto.

\nRESOLVED THAT Cheque Nos. 20180668 to 20180728 amounting to \t$71,340.82, including Direct Deposit Payroll in the amount of $5,181.01, \tattached hereto as Schedule \u2018A\u2019, be approved for payment.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby set \tthe rate of pay for the Birch River Pool Lifeguards for the 2018 season as per \tSchedule \u2018A\u2019 attached hereto.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Councillors Stephen Nadolney, Brad Wyatt and Wilmer Malcolm of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby be authorized to attend the Manitoba Infrastructure Service Delivery Review Open House to be held July 3rd, 2018 in Dauphin, MB;
\nAND THAT expenses be allowed for same.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT CAO Paige Larocque and Finance Officer Kim Paterson of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby be authorized to attend the SkillPath\u2019s Training Course to be held October 10th, 2018 in Swan River, MB;
\nAND THAT expenses be allowed for same.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Office Staff of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby be authorized to attend the Accessible Customer Service Standard Workshop to be held August 30th, 2018 in Swan River, MB;

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby accept the Request for Quotation for the 2018 Gravel Hauling for Mountain North as per Schedule \u2018A\u2019 attached hereto and award the contract to 4120396 Manitoba Ltd.

\nWHEREAS The Municipal Councils and School Boards Election Act allows two or more local authorities to conduct an election or any part of an election jointly if authorized by Resolution;
\nAND WHEREAS such a request has been received from Mountain View School Division\u2019s SEO;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby accept and approve the request as per the terms attached hereto in Schedule \u2018A\u2019.
