Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of the Rural Municipality of Mountain held Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in the R.M. of Mountain Council Chambers in Birch River, Manitoba.

\nThe meeting was called to order at 10:15 A.M. by Reeve Marvin Kovachik, quorum \tbeing present.<\/p>\n

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the Agenda for the May 23th, 2018 Regular Meeting of Council be adopted as presented.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the Minutes of the regular meeting of Council held May 9th, 2018 be adopted as presented, all requirements having been complied with.

\nWHEREAS Notice of Breach of By-Law No. 04\/18 was served against Mr. Ken Chartrand of Birch River, MB and he was charged;
\nAND WHEREAS Council considered all evidence at a Hearing held May 23rd, 2018;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby uphold the charge of $100.00 and deem the animal in question as \t\ta dangerous animal and subject to all provisions of By-Law No. 04\/18.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the unpaid accounts receivable accounts, presented in Schedule \u2018A\u2019 attached hereto, be added to the real property tax account of each account holder.

\nWHEREAS Fire Department Purchasing Policy states that all purchases of the Fire \tDepartment must be authorized by Council in advance;
\n\tTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain \tapprove the purchase requests as per Schedule \u2018A\u2019 attached hereto.

\n\tRESOLVED THAT Cheque Nos. 20180532 to 20180574 amounting to \t$130,191.48, including Direct Deposit Payroll in the amount of $5,034.89, \tattached hereto as Schedule \u2018A\u2019, be approved for payment.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Reeve Marvin Kovachik and Councillors Stephen Nadolney, Brad Wyatt, Wilmer Malcolm and CAO Paige Larocque of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby be authorized to attend the G5 Meeting to be held June 4th, 2018 in Minitonas, MB;
\nAND THAT expenses be allowed for same.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Councillor Brad Wyatt of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby be authorized to attend the Prairie Mountain Health Stakeholder Meeting to be held June 7th, 2018 in Swan River, MB;
\nAND THAT expenses be allowed for same.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Reeve Marvin Kovachik and Councillors Stephen Nadolney, Brad Wyatt, Connie Forbes, Wilmer Malcolm and CAO Paige Larocque of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby be authorized to attend the June District Meeting to be held June 8th, 2018 in Swan River, MB;
\nAND THAT expenses be allowed for same.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby enter Easement agreement with Malley Bros. Corporation for the construction and ongoing maintenance of a municipal sewer line as per Schedule \u2018A\u2019 attached hereto;
\nAND THAT Reeve and CAO be authorized to sign on behalf of the municipality.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby enter into a Rental Agreement for Lots 37\/38, Plan 1010 [Roll #300560.000], Birch River, MB, Terms and Conditions as attached hereto in Schedule \u2018A\u2019;
\nAND THAT the CAO and Reeve be authorized to sign on behalf of the municipality.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby amend the Lease Agreement policy as per Schedule \u2018A\u2019 attached hereto.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby enter into an Emergency Measures Memorandum of Understanding with the Town of Swan River as per Schedule \u2018A\u2019 attached hereto;
\nAND THAT Reeve and CAO be authorized to sign on behalf of the municipality.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby authorize the request of the Birch River Busy Beavers 4H Club for a donation towards the 4H Club Award Evening in the amount of $200.00.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the Regular Meeting of Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain be adjourned to meet again on June 13th, 2018.
