Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of the Rural Municipality of Mountain held Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 in the R.M. of Mountain Council Chambers in Birch River, Manitoba.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the Agenda for the March 28th, 2018 Regular Meeting of Council be adopted as presented.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the Minutes of the regular meeting of Council held March 13th, 2018 be adopted as presented, all requirements having been complied with.

\nWHEREAS Section 152(3) of The Municipal Act and Section 8.8 of the By-Law No. 01\/16 authorize Council to close a meeting to the public to discuss certain matters;
\nAND WHEREAS Section 15.13 of By-Law #01\/16, The Procedures By-Law of The Rural Municipality of Mountain, instructs a member to;
\n\u201c\u2026keep in confidence a matter that is discussed at a meeting closed to the public under subsection 152(3) of The Act until the matter is discussed at a council meeting conducted in public.\u201d
\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain meet as a committee to discuss personnel.

\nAND THAT expenses be allowed for same.
\nAND THAT the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby authorize the donation to a maximum of $50.00 toward the annual banquet.

\nWHEREAS the rising rural crime rate in recent years is a deep concern to the Rural Municipality of Mountain;
\nAND WHEREAS given the nature of how dispersed people are within and surrounding our Municipality, it is very difficult for the RCMP to respond in a timely manner;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain support Motion M-167, on the basis that it may give the government the necessary information it needs to address this serious and growing problem.

\nWHEREAS the SW 24-33-23W is owned by the Rural Municipality of Mountain;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby request Robert Carrick to harvest timber off the SW 24-33-23W as per map attached hereto as Schedule \u2018A\u2019 , to a maximum of 200 cords;
\nAND THAT dues be paid to the Municipality at a rate of $12.00 per cord.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby approve the Undeveloped Road Allowance Agreement for the SE\/SW 2-32-23W as per Schedule \u2018A\u2019 attached hereto;
\nFURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Undeveloped Road Allowance Agreement for the NE\/NW 2-32-23W be hereby repealed;
\nAND THAT the Reeve and CAO be authorized to sign on behalf of the Municipality.
