The Province has\u00a0opened a Request for Proposals process for private sector organizations who may wish to provide distribution and retail facilities to cover the majority of the province and has included the opportunity for\u00a0on-line sale provisions;<br \/>\nAND WHEREAS on November 28, 2017, the Minister of Growth, Enterprise and Training announced at the Association of\u00a0Manitoba Municipalities (AMM) Convention that he wished to receive an indication from municipalities as to their intention to work with the Province in establishing the zoning, locations and other parameters with\u00a0respect to the distribution of cannabis within municipalities through the province. The Province has asked\u00a0for a response from municipalities by December 22, 2017. This information is being collected through the\u00a0AMM for immediate-term planning purposes;<br \/>\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Swan River immediately\u00a0respond in the affirmative to the Minister of\u00a0Growth, Enterprise and Training through the AMM survey that the Town of Swan River be allowing cannabis to\u00a0be sold from retail location(s) within the municipality. A copy of this resolution is also to be forwarded\u00a0to the Minister of Growth, Enterprise and Training prior to the December 22, 2017 deadline;<br \/>\nFURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Swan
