Don Bobick, Walter Kolisnyk and Stephanie Reid<br \/>\nDon, Walter and Stephanie of the Swan Lake Watershed Conservation District (SLWCD) provided council with an update about the Province&#8217;s proposed changes to the conservation district program.\u00a0 These include a new funding model and a new program called GROW.\u00a0 SLWCD is concerned that funding will be reduced and that local control and grassroots involvement will disappear.\u00a0 SLWCD along with other conservation districts have been voicing their concerns to the Province.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>4.2 Delegation: Chamber of Commerce &#8211; Johnny Wintoniw, Stacy Grindle and Naomi Neufeld<br \/>\nJohnny, Stacy and Naomi of the Swan Valley Chamber of Commerce presented a proposal to council.\u00a0 The Chamber would like to try a 3 year pilot project using the funds raised by the Town&#8217;s business tax.\u00a0 They would use these funds to assist with tourism (which currently is 80% of the work done by Chamber staff) and to create new initiatives such as more workshops, training and development, business attraction and mentorship, research\u00a0 and development of eco-tourism and indigenous tourism, beautification (downtown flowers, signs etc.) and more.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n5 Correspondence<\/p>\n<p>6 New Business<\/p>\n<p>6.1 Snow Removal<\/p>\n<p>Resolution No:\u00a02017.550<br \/>\nMoved By:\u00a0David Moriaux<br \/>\nSeconded By:\u00a0Jason Delaurier<br \/>\nRESOLVED that Management be authorized to hire a contractor to clear the snow from Main Street from the intersection of Highway 83 to 9th Avenue if the Highways Department has not cleared the snow by noon on November 23rd, 2017.<br \/>\nCARRIED<\/p>\n<p>6.2 Folk Fest 2018 &#8211;
