The evening included some beautiful special music by Brenna Smith on violin. <\/p>\n<p>The short program told the wonderful sweet Christmas story featuring various candies and Christmas Carols throughout.<\/p>\n<p>First, there was the &#8220;Rocky Road&#8221; travelled by Mary and Joseph on their way to Bethlehem while &#8220;Sugar Babies&#8221; represented the sweet baby Jesus and &#8220;Candy Canes&#8221; the staffs of the shepherds who heard the good news.  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Almond Joy&#8221; was for the Angel&#8217;s joyous announcement and &#8220;Dove&#8221; chocolate as a symbol of peace.   The wise men were represented by &#8230; &#8220;Smarties&#8221; along with &#8220;Starburst&#8221; for the star that guided them and golden chocolate coins for the gifts they presented.  <\/p>\n<p>Finally, &#8220;Reisen&#8221; caramels were a sweet reminder that Jesus is the reason for the season.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/S0718296.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/S0718296-475x339.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"S0718296\" width=\"475\" height=\"339\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-31614\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/S0718296-475x339.jpg 475w, https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/S0718296-228x163.jpg 228w, https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/S0718296-300x214.jpg 300w, https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/S0718296.jpg 839w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 475px) 100vw, 475px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Following the program the ladies enjoyed some sweet treats and a time of visiting.
