\n<\/br>1. The Board was informed that all Principals in SVSD participated in Walk Through Training. Area 4 Principals from Frontier School Division also participated in the two days of training.<\/p>\n
2. The Bowsman Day Care Board is proceeding with its application for day care funding. They want to create a Day Care within Bowsman School.<\/p>\n
3. The French Immersion Teachers at ESRSS met to discuss possible initiatives\/ideas on promoting the French Immersion Program.<\/p>\n
4. The Board received the Minutes from the Indigenous Education Committee. The Committee made a recommendation that an acknowledgement of traditional territory be displayed. The Board offered some suggested changes and sent it back to the Committee. The Board is supportive of other plans that the Indigenous Education Committee is working on.<\/p>\n
5. The Board approved the Grade 11 Geography Trip.<\/p>\n
6. The CEO reported the official enrollment for SVSD is 1,419 for this year. Our enrollment last year was 1,435.<\/p>\n
7. The Board was informed that the high school wants to move Grade 12 Grad to the Friday before the last week of school. Next year that would be June 22, 2018. The Board is okay with this change, provided it be understood that we do not want the date changing every year. Going forward, Grad will be on the Friday before the last week of school. <\/p>\n

\nTHAT the Staffing Report of the Superintendent\/CEO, 8.2, as presented, be ratified.

\nTHAT as per the Report of the Secretary-Treasurer, 9.2, a by-law to provide for the borrowing of up to $283,100, by issue of Promissory Note #LTPS0153, to meet the costs for the projects as authorized on Schedule \u201cB\u201d attached, be read a second time, that the rules of procedure be waived and it be taken as read a third time, be now finally passed, signed by the Chair and the Secretary-Treasurer and numbered 11\/2017 and the seal of the School Division affixed thereto.
