Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of the Rural Municipality of Mountain held Wednesday, August 9th, 2017 in the R.M. of Mountain Council Chambers in Birch River, Manitoba.

The meeting was called to order at 10:00 A.M. by Reeve Marvin Kovachik, quorum being present.<\/p>\n

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the Agenda for the August 9th, 2017 Regular Meeting of Council be adopted as amended.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby proceed with amending Noise & Engine Retarder Brake By-laws for municipal communities to enable enforcement.

\nWHEREAS Sensus Partnership of Chartered Professional Accountants has been appointed as the municipal auditor;
\nAND WHEREAS Sensus has prepared draft consolidated financial statements for the Rural Municipality of Mountain for the year ended December 31st, 2016 and presented them to Council for review and approval;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby accept and approve the Draft 2016 Audited Consolidated Financial Statement for the municipality for the Year Ended December 31st, 2016 as presented, attached hereto as Schedule \u2018A\u2019;
\nAND THAT the Reeve and Finance Chairperson be authorized to sign on behalf of the municipality.

\nRESOLVED THAT Cheque Nos. 20170928 to 20170981 be approved for payment in the amount of $66,958.88, including 7,004.79 for Council indemnities, as per By-Law 03\/16, and Direct Deposit Payroll in the amount of $4,293.50 as attached hereto as Schedule A.
\nAND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT the direct payment amount of $8,103.00 for Receiver General July 2017 be approved for payment.
