Councillor Nadolney & Councillor Malcolm attended by communication facility [By-law No. 01\/16, Section 6]<\/p>\n

The meeting was called to order at 10:00 A.M. by Reeve Marvin Kovachik, quorum being present.<\/p>\n

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby authorize District Fire Chief Forbes to act as agent of the municipality, to bid on and purchase property on behalf of the municipality up to the maximum as outlined in Schedule \u2018A\u2019 attached hereto.

\nRESOLVED THAT Cheque Nos. 20170236 to 20170288 be approved for payment in the amount of $84,921.21, including 5,776.75 for Council indemnities, as per By-Law 03\/16, and Direct Deposit Payroll in the amount of $3,790.94, attached hereto as Schedule \u2018A\u2019.
\nAND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT the direct payment amount of $4,763.75 for Receiver General February 2017 be approved for payment.

\nWHEREAS an LUD must consult with Council before adopting its service plan [MA 119(2)];
\nAND WHEREAS the LUD of Birch River has prepared and presented a service plan to Council;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby adopt the service plan as submitted by LUD of Birch River [MA 120(1)(b)], attached hereto as Schedule \u2018A\u2019.

\nWHEREAS Section 152(3) of The Municipal Act authorizes Council to close a meeting to the public to discuss certain matters;
\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain meet as a committee to discuss personnel.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT the meeting of the committee of the whole be adjourned, and that the regular meeting of Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain be re-opened to the public.

\nWHEREAS Council has undertaken a review of solid waste management in the municipality;
\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby terminate manned garbage collection at Bellsite Community Centre effective immediately.

\nBE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby authorize the request of Parkland Tourism for a donation in the amount of $50.00.
