\n1.\tThe Board received and approved a recommendation from the Ad Hoc Committee,\tSVRSS Parking Lot. The Board approved a plan to expand the current student parking \tsouth up to the south wall of the new trades building. The extension will be the same \twidth as the current parking lot. This will create about 20-25 parking spaces. There is \talso a plan to create 10 parking stalls on the west side of the UCN for their use.<\/p>\n
2.\tThe Board finalized the Trustee Committee assignments for this term: <\/p>\n

3.\tThe Board accepted the recommendation of the CEO to try a new process for hiring the new Principal of Minitonas. The new process will involve collecting information from PAC\u2019s, students and staff. It will also involve the participation of a staff and parent rep for a part of the interview process. <\/p>\n
4.\tThe CEO reported on a number of issues that were discussed at the Principals\u2019 \tMeeting:
\n\t– Outdoor Education Plan; need to have an implementation phase
\n\t– a need to look at the Professional Learning Plan required each year from teachers
\n\t– Principal PD initiatives
\n\t– development of a plan to deal with a shortage of substitute teachers<\/p>\n
5.\tThe Board has set aside a day to review the Vision, Mission and Value Statements of the Division.<\/p>\n
6.\tThe Board tasked the CEO with creating a process for the creation of a new Strategic Plan. Once the process is adopted, then a planning date can be set. <\/p>\n

\n\t\tTHAT as per the Report of the Secretary-Treasurer, 9.3, a by-law to provide for the borrowing of up to $678,000.00, by issue of Promissory Note #LTPS0052, to meet the costs for projects as \t\t\tauthorized on Schedule \u201cB\u201d attached, be read a second time, that the rules of procedure be waived and that it be taken as read a third time, be now finally passed, signed by the Chair and the Secretary-Treasurer and numbered 6\/2016 and the seal of the School Division affixed thereto. \t\tCARRIED<\/p>\n

\n\t\tTHAT as per the Report of the Secretary-Treasurer, 9.4, a by-law to provide for the borrowing of up to $478,400.00, by issue of Promissory Note #LTPS0058, to meet the costs for projects as \t\t\tauthorized on Schedule \u201cB\u201d attached, be read a first time long and numbered 8\/2016 and the seal of the School Division affixed thereto. CARRIED<\/p>\n

\n\t\tTHAT as per the Report of the Secretary-Treasurer, 9.5, the accounts listed on cheque vouchers \tand being the general cheques numbering 48885 to 49109 and B 48731 to B 48797 inclusive; \t\t\twhich includes general in the amount of $1,269,636.44 and payroll in the amount of $877,997.11 \tplus additional payroll cheques numbering 2434 to 2460 in the amount of $16,647.09, for a total \t\t\tof $2,164,280.64 for the month of June be approved for payment.
