We hope you had a chance to visit the Swan Valley Communities That Care (SVCTC) Spooktober- Fest Haunted House!
\nIt was a great event which offered a Halloween experience for all ages.<\/p>\n

There were about 1,400 visitors, who attended Spooktober-Fest over the three days. All visitors first passed through a great Halloween walk area hosted by Aboriginal Headstart. This walk was a family and tot friendly tour that invited all to engage in the Halloween theme.<\/p>\n

The Haunted House event offered a parent and tot friendly entry area with Halloween d\u00e9cor, games, and activities hosted by Better Beginning. This was a great area for the very young to enjoy games and the company of other young children.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>From there, visitors were invited in to the Halloween tactile area created by Mrs. Zaretsky-Denischuk\u2019s SVRSS Art Class. There were 14 stations offering the hands on discovery of what witches fingers and tongue, monster teeth and ears, and brains might feel like. Lots of squeals and screams came out of this area. <\/p>\n

If you were brave enough to choose the 5 Cat Scary Level you turned left into the back of the building. There visitors entered a haunted area hosted by the B.W.B.Group (a group of Halloween enthusiasts) and the Big Woody Group, who went all out to create a truly frightening experience. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/br>The theme of the entire area this year was the \u201cFreak Show. \u201cVisitors first entered the BWB grand Halloween mansion area with a frightening tour of the many rooms of a home. Continuing on, visitors entered the area created by the famous Big Woody Group. Their freak show theme was done in a carnival atmosphere complete with clowns, dot illusion room, forest area and black maize designed to make this truly a level 5 scary experience. Priceless hours were spent towards the organization and performing at the Haunted house event.<\/p>\n

<\/br>Lastly all visitors were treated to free hot chocolate, cookies and ice cream cones generously provided by Service to Seniors, the SV Coop and SR Key Chev Motors. Free face painting was offered to young and old, courtesy of Dana Paull- Unicorn Factory Face Painting, Lisa Lintick, Maclyn Burhart and a couple of Stampeders Team members. <\/p>\n

\n<\/br>Of course a Halloween treat was offered to all children and youth as well as an opportunity to enter a door prize for the adults. The event was a smashing success.
\n<\/br>
\n\"\"<\/a><\/br>Throughout all of these areas we also had Stampeder Hockey Team player\u2019s participation on a nightly basis as well as their help in the set-up and take down of the panels and hay bales and taking part in all elements of this Haunted House experience.
\n<\/br>
\n\"\"<\/a>Community Businesses and Organizations as well as community members were very generous with their support and donations. We look forward to hosting this activity again next year.
