Swan Valley Fri. June 12, 2015 In spite of some rainy weather, the event will be proceeding outside. <\/p>\n <\/br>Meaningful ceremonies, food, festivities and entertainment.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Relay For Life is a community fundraising event where Canadians across the country join together in the fight against cancer. Last year, nearly 400 Relays took place across Canada, raising over 42 million dollars for cancer research, and services and programs for cancer patients. <\/p>\n Festivities & Entertainment<\/strong> Aurora DJ Services will be providing music throughout the evening, with a couple highlights of local talent.<\/p>\n There will be Kids and Adult Zumba Workouts, Twister & Jumbo Jenga competitions, \u201cStay Strong\u201d Tug-o-War, prizes for a team costume contest, a Chinese Auction, a BBQ Raffle Draw, face painting, balloon twisting, complimentary hot chocolate station, and more! Check out our Activity Schedule to see other highlights at Relay!<\/p>\n Food<\/strong> A supper combo will be available for purchase to participants to further help fundraising efforts. This supper will be complimentary for survivors and one caregiver. <\/p>\n “First come, first served!”<\/p>\n Registration<\/strong> Register a team or as an individual today! \nAt Swan Valley Relay For Life you will participate in meaningful ceremonies, enjoy food, festivities and entertainment, connect with cancer survivors and hear their stories, and learn about cancer prevention.<\/p>\n
\nSurvivors and their caregivers are invited to come out and enjoy a supper and an empowering, fun-filled evening with friends and family.
\nFor $8 you get: a bbq burger, macaroni salad, fresh veggies and dip, a chocolate chip cookie, and beverage.<\/p>\n
