{"id":24326,"date":"2014-11-01T13:34:15","date_gmt":"2014-11-01T18:34:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/?p=24326"},"modified":"2014-11-01T13:34:15","modified_gmt":"2014-11-01T18:34:15","slug":"swan-river-rcmp-respond-to-homicide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/2014\/11\/01\/swan-river-rcmp-respond-to-homicide\/","title":{"rendered":"Swan River RCMP Respond to Homicide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/rcmp.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"RCMP\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-166\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/rcmp.jpg 200w, https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/rcmp-100x75.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>RCMP Release |<\/p>\n<p>During the early morning hours of October 30, 2014, Swan River RCMP were dispatched to a report of a male who was fatally stabbed at a residence on the Shoal River First Nation.<br \/>\n<\/br><br \/>\nAlbert John Genaille, 38, of Shoal River First Nation, Manitoba was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Swan River RCMP are continuing to investigate the matter, with the assistance of the RCMP Serious Crime Unit, Winnipeg and Dauphin Major Crime Units, and, Brandon and Dauphin Forensic Identification Sections.<\/p>\n<p>On October 30, 2014, Lissa Marie Gott, 28, of Shoal River First Nation was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder in relation to Albert John Genaille&#8217;s death. The two were known to each other.<\/p>\n<p>Gott is also charged with the aggravated assault of an adult female that occurred in a related incident.
