Emerson\t\tre: Drainage<br \/>\n\t\tG. Foster\t\tre: Unsightly Property<br \/>\n\t\tG. Thiessen\t\tre: Town Public Works<\/p>\n<p>1. \tS. Windsor &#8211; D. Bartel<br \/>\n\tRESOLVED THAT the Agenda be adopted as presented.<br \/>\n\t Carried.\t<\/p>\n<p>2.\tS. Windsor &#8211; J. Caruk<br \/>\nRESOLVED THAT the Bank Reconciliation and Financial Statement for the period ending August 31st, 2014 shall be approved as presented.<br \/>\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n<p>3.\tD. Bartel \u2013 J. Caruk<br \/>\nRESOLVED THAT the Animal Control Officer\u2019s Report for the month of August, 2014 shall be accepted as presented, a copy of which is attached hereto, and;<br \/>\nBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT payment for contract services for Animal Control shall be made as per the aforementioned report.<br \/>\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n<p>4.\t S. Windsor &#8211; J. Caruk<br \/>\nRESOLVED THAT approval of payment be made for the List of Accounts numbered 6118 to 6159 inclusive, amounting to $66,025.96.<br \/>\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n<p>5.\tS. Windsor &#8211; D. Bartel<br \/>\n\tWHEREAS a financial report for the Minitonas Curling Club\u2019s 2013-2014 year \twas received with the attached letter of request for funding assistance from both the \tTown of Minitonas and the RM of Minitonas, and;<br \/>\n\tWHEREAS the Minitonas Town Council has included funding support as part of \tthe 2014 Financial Plan and agrees that it is important to support this valuable \tcommunity recreation program;<br \/>\n\tTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT a grant in the amount of $500 shall be \tmade to the Minitonas Curling Rink for 50% of the 2014-2015 cost to provide \ttraining and assistance for the new icemaker as per the attached request.<br \/>\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n<p>6.\t J. Caruk \u2013 S. Windsor<br \/>\nRESOLVED THAT the Town of Minitonas does hereby receive the attached Doctor Retention &#038; Recruitment Fund Report form the Swan Valley Health Facilities Foundation Inc. and approve payment of the 2014 funding contribution in the amount of $3737.73 as included in the Municipality\u2019s Annual Financial Plan.<br \/>\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n<p>7.\tS. Windsor &#8211; D. Bartel<br \/>\n\tRESOLVED THAT \tthe Council of the Town of Minitonas does hereby approve \tthe attached Request for Vacation.<br \/>\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n<p>8.\tD. Bartel \u2013 J. Caruk<br \/>\nRESOLVED THAT the Minitonas Town Council does hereby approve the attendance of the Public Works Foreman at the Workplace Safety Seminar to be held in Swan River on Thursday, September 25th and that all applicable expenses shall be paid in accordance with current municipal policies and by-laws.<br \/>\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n<p>9.\tS. Windsor \u2013 J. Caruk<br \/>\n\tWHEREAS breast cancer is the most common cancer among Canadian women \tand is a very serious disease that will likely affect approximately 23,800 women \tand 200 men and their families this year, and;<br \/>\n\tWHEREAS it is of great importance that money be raised to fund breast cancer \tresearch projects and community programs, and;<br \/>\n\tWHEREAS the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation strives to be an effective \tadvocate, a trusted leader, a respectful partner and a catalyst in creating a future \tfree from breast cancer;<br \/>\n\tTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Minitonas Town Council does \thereby proclaim the month of October to be \u2018Breast Cancer Awareness Month\u2019 \tin the Town of Minitonas.<br \/>\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n<p>10.\t J. Caruk \u2013 D. Bartel<br \/>\n\tWHEREAS the Minitonas Town Council has reviewed and approves of the terms \tand conditions of the 2014-2015 \u2018Snow Clearing Services Agreement\u2019 submitted \tby MTS Allstream Inc.;<br \/>\n\tTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the CAO shall be authorized to sign \tsaid agreement on behalf of the municipality.<br \/>\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n<p>11.\tS. Windsor &#8211; D.
