Absent With Notice: Mayor, Barkowski \u2013 Called in at 8:50 pm to discuss By-Law No. \t\t\t\t 2\/2014<\/p>\n

Delegations: PW Foreman, G. Thiessen<\/p>\n

1. \tD. Bartel \u2013 S. Windsor
\n\tWHEREAS Mayor Barkowski is absent from this evening\u2019s meeting;
\n\tTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Deputy Mayor Caruk shall assume \tthe position of Chairman and Councillor Windsor shall perform the duties of \tFinance Officer for this meeting.
\n\t Carried.\t<\/p>\n

2.\tS. Windsor \u2013 D. Bartel
\n\tRESOLVED THAT the Agenda be adopted as presented.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n

3.\tS. Windsor – D. Bartel
\n\tRESOLVED THAT the Bank Reconciliation and Financial Statement for the \tperiod ending July 31st, 2014 shall be approved as presented.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n

4.\tD. Bartel – S. Windsor
\n\tRESOLVED THAT the Animal Control Officer\u2019s Report for the month of July, \t2014 shall be accepted as presented, a copy of which is attached hereto, and;
\n\tBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT payment for contract services for Animal \tControl shall be made as per the aforementioned report.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n

5.\tS. Windsor \u2013 D. Bartel
\n\tRESOLVED THAT approval of payment be made for the List of Accounts \tnumbered 6067 to 6117 inclusive, amounting to $53,674.87.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n

6.\tD. Bartel – S. Windsor
\nWHEREAS the owners of the attached list of properties were sent written notice that said property was declared to be unsightly under the terms of By-Law No. 2\/2007, and;
\nWHEREAS said property owners have failed to take action to completely remedy the condition of the properties by the deadline of August 15th, 2014;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, under the authority of By-Law No. 2\/2007, the Town Public Works Employees shall be instructed to undertake the necessary work required to remedy the condition of said properties beginning on August 21st, 2014, and;
\nBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Chief Administrative Officer shall be authorized to bill the property owners for all costs of the aforementioned clean-up accordingly.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n

7.\tS. Windsor \u2013 D. Bartel
\nWHEREAS the owner of the aggressor animal involved in a recent incident has taken action to euthanize the dog;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Public Hearing regarding the fate of the dog set for August 20th, 2014 at 7:00 pm is hereby cancelled.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n

8.\tD. Bartel – S. Windsor
\n\tRESOLVED THAT the Public Works Report for the month of July, 2014 shall be \taccepted as submitted by the Town Foreman, a copy of which is attached hereto.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n

9.\tS. Windsor – D. Bartel
\n\tRESOLVED THAT By-Law No. 2\/2014, being a By-Law of the Town of \tMinitonas for the purpose of providing the naming of roads in the Town of \tMinitonas and affixing such names at the corner of each road, shall be read a \tsecond time this 20th day of April, 2014 A.D.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n

10.\tS. Windsor \u2013 D. Bartel
\n\tRESOLVED THAT we do now adjourn at 9:00 pm to meet again for the next \tregular meeting of Council to be held on the 3rd day of September, 2014 A.D. at \t7:00 pm.
