1. \tS. Windsor – D. Bartel
\n\tRESOLVED THAT the Agenda be adopted as presented.
\n\t Carried.\t<\/p>\n
2.\tD. Bartel – J. Caruk
\n\tRESOLVED THAT the Financial Statements for the Town of Minitonas General Operating Fund and the Water\/Sewer Utility Operating Fund for the period ending \tDecember 31st, 2013 shall be approved as presented, and;
\n\tBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT a copy shall be sent to Manitoba Local \tGovernment in accordance with Subsection 183(2) of The Municipal Act, and;
\n\tBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Utility Operating Fund Statement \tshall be submitted to the Public Utility Board along with the application for \tapproval of the 2013 Yearend Deficit.

3.\tS. Windsor – D. Bartel
\n\tRESOLVED THAT the Animal Control Officer\u2019s Report for the month of \tJanuary, 2014 shall be accepted as presented, a copy of which is attached hereto, \tand;
\n\tBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT payment for contract services for Animal \tControl shall be made as per the aforementioned report.

4.\t S. Windsor \u2013 J. Caruk
\n\tWHEREAS the Town of Minitonas agreed to increase the tonnage fee paid to \tValley Lions Recycling Inc. for recycled materials until December 31, 2013 and;
\n\t WHEREAS the financial report to support a further increase was requested in \tOctober, 2013 but has not yet been received;
\n\tTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT a rate of $324.22 per tonne, which \tmatches the 2014 contribution paid to the municipality through the MMSM \tProgram, shall be paid on all recycled materials until such time as financial reports \tare made available and a meeting has taken place to discuss changes in the financial \trequirements needed to support the local recycling initiative.

5.\t J. Caruk \u2013 D. Bartel
\n\tRESOLVED THAT approval of payment be made for the List of Accounts \tnumbered 5782 to 5838 inclusive, amounting to $59,743.89.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n
6.\tJ. Caruk \u2013 S. Windsor
\n\tRESOLVED THAT a gratuity in the amount of $100 shall be made to Karen \tGordon for the work she did repairing our town flags.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n
7.\t S. Windsor – D. Bartel
\n\tWHEREAS the 2014 Budget for Parkland Library has been received and reviewed \tby the Minitonas Town Council;
\n\t THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to renew \tmembership for 2014 and pay the municipal levy per the chart attached hereto.

8.\tS. Windsor \u2013 D. Bartel
\n\tWHEREAS the Minitonas Town Council has agreed to a maximum contribution \tof $34,000 toward the Minitonas & District Arena Roof Project, and;
\n\tWHEREAS an initial payment of $44,500 is required upon delivery of the Butler \tRoof System, and;
\n\tWHEREAS this project provides a tangible, direct and meaningful benefit to a \tbroad segment of the community by extending the life of the arena, making it \tavailable to participants and spectators for many years to come;
\n\t THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to partner with \tthe RM of Minitonas and the Minitonas & District Arena Board, making the first \tpayment of $20,000 from the Hydro CDI Funding received for 2014.

9.\tJ. Caruk \u2013 D. Bartel
\n\tWHEREAS the Minitonas Town Council has received the attached request for \tmonthly rental of the Marketplace, and;
\n\tWHEREAS the hall renovation project will not begin until later in 2014 or early \t2015;
\n\tTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to said rental on a \tmonthly basis as per the details on the copy of the agreement attached hereto, and;
\n\tBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT any daily rentals be suspended for the \tduration of this new agreement.

10.\tS. Windsor \u2013 D. Bartel
\n\tRESOLVED THAT we do now adjourn at 11:15 pm to meet again for the next \tregular meeting of Council to be held on the 5th day of March, 2014 A.D. at 7:00 \tpm.
