\n\tRESOLVED THAT the Agenda be adopted as presented.

\n\tRESOLVED THAT the minutes of the Regular Meetings of the Council of the \tTown of Minitonas held on January 15th, 2014 and January 22nd, 2014 shall be \tadopted as circulated.

\n\tWHEREAS the Minitonas Town Council feels that the economic development, \talong with the promotion and support of local businesses, is crucial for the future of \tour community and the Swan River Valley, and;
\n\tWHEREAS promoting the Swan River Valley as a retirement destination for those \twishing to re-locate from northern communities;
\n\tTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to renew our \tmembership in the Swan Valley Chamber of Commerce for 2014, and;
\n\tBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT a contribution of $250 will be made \ttoward the costs of attending the Thompson Trade Show along with the $95.00 \tannual membership fee.

\n\tRESOLVED THAT the Public Works Report for the month of January, 2014 shall \tbe accepted as submitted by the Town Foreman, a copy of which is attached hereto.

\n\tWHEREAS the Public Works Employee Overtime Reports have been received & \treviewed by Council;
\n\tTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT all applicable overtime hours \trecorded for the month of January, 2014 shall be approved and paid out with the \tFebruary 14th, 2014 payroll or booked for future use as indicated on the \taforementioned reports, copies of which have been attached hereto.

6.\tJ. Caruk \u2013 S. Windsor
\n\tRESOLVED THAT the members of the Minitonas Town Council do hereby go \t\u2018In Camera\u2019 in accordance with Subsection 152(3)(b)(ii) of The Municipal Act \tpertaining to staff performance.

7.\t S. Windsor \u2013 J. Caruk
\n\tRESOLVED THAT the meeting of the Minitonas Town Council shall hereby re-\topen to the public in accordance with Subsection 152(4) of The Municipal Act.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n
8.\tJ. Caruk \u2013 S. Windsor
\n\tWHEREAS the Town of Minitonas & the RM of Minitonas have met to discuss \tthe repairs required on the CAT Loader, and agreed to make the necessary repairs;
\n\tTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Lonnie Armistead Services shall be \thired to assist with said repairs under the terms and conditions attached hereto.

\n\tRESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to the purchase of a new hydrant as per \tthe quote attached hereto.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n
10.\tS. Windsor – J. Caruk
\n\tRESOLVED THAT Kevin Giesbrecht shall be appointed as Citizen Rep for the \tTown of Minitonas on the Swan Lake Watershed Conservation District \u2013 \tWatershed #52 for the 2014 and 2015 Fiscal Years.

11.\tD. Bartel \u2013 J. Caruk
\n\tWHEREAS the 2014 Budget for the Swan Valley Recreation District has been \treceived and reviewed by the Minitonas Town Council;
\n\tTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to the proposal \tlevy of $4750.20 as per the membership contribution chart attached hereto.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n
12.\tS. Windsor – J. Caruk
\n\tWHEREAS the 2014 Budget for the Swan Valley Airport Commission has been \treceived and reviewed by the Minitonas Town Council;
\n\tTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to the proposed \tlevy of 0.154 mills based on the municipality\u2019s 2013 Assessment ($1194.00) as per \tthe contribution chart attached hereto.
\n\tCarried.<\/p>\n
13.\tS. Windsor – D. Bartel
\n\tWHEREAS new information has come to council regarding the operation of the \tbusiness currently leasing the 2nd floor area of the Minitonas Library;
\n\tTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council agrees to cancel the \tincrease in the monthly rental rate and shall continue with the current rate until \tJune 30th, 2014, and;
\n\tBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT review of the agreement and \tcircumstances will be done in June, 2014 and the possible renewal, including the \tterms and conditions, from July-December, 2014 will be set at that time.

\n\tRESOLVED THAT the Minitonas Marketplace shall be offered free of charge for \tthe 2 day Babysitting Course offered by the Swan Valley Recreation District in \tApril, 2014.
