\nCouncilor Schneider joined the meeting at 8:30.<\/p>\n
Chief Administrative Officer ~ Pat Ellingson.
\nMayor Meadows called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm<\/p>\n

\n \t\t\tSCOUTEN
\n \tRESOLVED that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held on November 12, 2013 be adopted as presented.
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried.<\/p>\n
2. \t\tSCOUTEN
\n OFFENBERGER
\n RESOLVED that the agenda for the Regular meeting held on December10, 2013 be adopted as amended.
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried.<\/p>\n

\nBE IT RESOLVED that the December Maintenance report be accepted as presented by the Maintenance Supervisor.

\nWHEREAS the November employee overtime reports have been received and reviewed by council;
\nBE IT RESOLVED that the overtime hours recorded be accepted as presented and be approved for payment as attached hereto.

\n \t\t\tSCOUTEN
\nRESOLVED that accounts numbered 25056 to 25095 in the amount totaling $105,319.46 be ratified as paid.

\nRESOLVED that the Financial Statements and Bank Reconciliations to November 30, 2013 be accepted as presented with amendments.

\nWHEREAS the Municipal Act provides for the cancellation of taxes when the municipality acquires land through the tax sale process: and
\nWHEREAS the Village of Benito has acquired title to property through the 2013 Tax Sale process;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that property taxes totaling $58,771.04 as per Schedule \u201cA\u201d affixed hereto be hereby cancelled.
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the November\/December Animal Control Report be accepted as presented by the Animal Control Officer.

\nWHEREAS the 1977 Chevrolet Cube Van, which was utilized as a Rescue Unit to transport equipment and supplies by the Fire Department, has been replaced by a newer unit; and
\nWHEREAS the aforementioned unit requires extensive repairs in order to pass a Safety Inspection;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Benito accept the offer to purchase the 1977 Chevrolet Cube Van \u201cas is\u201d for the purchase price as attached hereto; and
\nBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Administrative Officer be authorized to sign the necessary documents on behalf of the Village of Benito.

\nWHEREAS the Senior Drinking Water Officer has completed the inspection of the Benito Water Treatment Plant and has reported that the Water Treatment Plant is being operated in a diligent manner and water quality meets all health parameters;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Inspection Report be accepted as received.

\nWHEREAS in accordance with Section 163 of The Municipal Act, the Council of the Village of Benito has made an interim budget for the Year 2014 for the period from January 1, 2014 until the adoption of the Annual Financial Plan;
