A washout above a culvert on Highway 10 has undermined the road causing a portion of the highway between Swan River and Minitonas to be closed.<\/p>\n

The erosion under the highway is clearly visible in the pictures and the highway has begun to buckle on the other side of the road. <\/p>\n

\nDetours have been set up to divert traffic onto PR488 and then down a gravel road toward Minitonas where traffic is directed back onto the highway.<\/p>\n

Repairs to the section of highway cannot proceed until water levels are lower and no estimate has been provided with respect to when the repairs will be completed. In the meantime some of the back roads will see a lot more traffic.<\/p>\n
