A Regular Meeting of Council of the Village of Benito was called to order at 7:00 pm on Tuesday February 26, 2013 in the Village Council Chambers.

Mayor Meadows called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the minutes of the regular meeting of Council held on January 29, 2013 be adopted as presented.

\nRESOLVED that the agenda for the regular meeting held on February 26, 2013 be adopted as presented.

\nRESOLVED that By-law #01\/13, being a Bylaw of the Village of Benito to maintain property and regulate nuisance, derelict, abandoned and unsightly property be read a third time and passed this 26th day of February 2013 A.D., signed by the mayor and signed and sealed by the Chief Administrative Officer.

\nRESOLVED that the Financial Statement for the month ending January 31, 2013 be accepted as presented.

\nWHEREAS the Village of Benito deems it to be in the best interest of the municipality to have regular collection of metal waste for recycling at the Benito Nuisance Grounds; and
\nWHEREAS the Village has had an ongoing agreement with Swan River Scrap Metal to provide this service and wish to update said agreement;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Benito renew the agreement with Swan River Scrap Metal and that the agreement will remain in force until terminated by either party on ninety (90) days written notice.

\nRESOLVED that the February Animal Control Report be accepted as presented by the Animal Control Officer.

\nRESOLVED that SUM OF $7550.00 be hereby authorized for transfer from the Recreation Trust Fund to the Village of Benito General Operating Fund.

\nWHEREAS municipalities are obligated under The Noxious Weeds Act Section 11(1) to appoint a weed inspector in each year;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that The Village of Benito appoint Donald Ellingson as Weed Inspector for the municipality for the year 2013.

\n5. SLW Conservation District
\nFirst payment annual levy $ 125.00
\n6. W.F. Schneider 2013 Fire truck Insurance $2,081.00

\nWHEREAS the Employee overtime report for the month of January have been received and reviewed by Council;
\nBE IT RESOLVED that the hours recorded be accepted as presented and the January overtime reports be approved for payment.
