Councillor Delaurier was absent.<\/p>\n<p>Minutes:<\/p>\n<p>1.\tRESOLVED that the minutes of the December 4th, 2012 regular meeting of Council be adopted as received.\t<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>2.\tRESOLVED that the Agenda for the December 18th, 2012 regular meeting of Council be received.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>3.\tRESOLVED that the Handi Van Report for November 2012 be received.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>4.\tRESOLVED that the accounts as follows be hereby approved for payment:<\/p>\n<p>(1)\tGeneral Accounts from Cheque No. 12466 to No.12550 for a total of $206,293.41.<br \/>\n(2)\tPayroll Accounts from Cheque No. 2979 to No. 2987 for a total of $84,127.13.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>5.\t\tRESOLVED that By-Law No. 14\/2012 being a by-law to establish a Landfill Closure Reserve Fund be read a first time.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>6.\tRESOLVED that the Superintendent of Works and Building Inspection Reports be received.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>7.\tRESOLVED that the Financial Statement for the month ended November 30th, 2012 be adopted as received.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>8.\tRESOLVED that Mayor Glen McKenzie and Councillor Duane Whyte be authorized to attend Medical Services meetings being held in Minitonas, MB on December 18th, 2012 and January 4th, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>9.\tRESOLVED that Council adopt the Council Members\u2019 Code of Conduct policy dated December 4th, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>10.\tRESOLVED that $6,000.00 be transferred into the Landfill Closure Reserve as approved in the 2012 Financial Plan of the Town of Swan River.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>11.\tRESOLVED that pursuant to Section 152(3) of The Municipal Act, Council go into Committee and close the meeting to the public.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>12.\t RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 152(4) of The Municipal Act this meeting be reopened to the public.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>13.\t  RESOLVED that this regular Meeting of Council now adjourn.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Council of the Town of Swan River met on Tuesday, December 18th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers with Mayor McKenzie presiding and Councillors Bobick, Jacobson, Friesen, Whyte, and Sakal present.
