Shawn Reimer, formerly from Birch River, recently took a one year leave from his teaching position in Winnipeg. He and his wife Amy, who is a social worker, relocated to Nairobi, Kenya.

Shawn is teaching math at a school in Nairobi while Amy volunteers at a local orphanage and school.<\/p>\n

While life is definitely different for Shawn & Amy now, they are enjoying the experience and have already made many great memories and lasting friendships.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Shawn recently ran the Nairobi half-marathon and while he couldn\u2019t keep up with the guys in the first photo he still finished in 1:32. <\/p>\n
