Councillor Delaurier was absent. <\/p>\n<p>Minutes:<\/p>\n<p>1. RESOLVED that the minutes of the October 2nd, 2012 regular meeting of Council be adopted as received.\t<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>2\tRESOLVED that the Agenda for the October 16th, 2012 regular meeting of Council be received.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>3\tRESOLVED that the tender received from Kayway Industries for traffic salt in the amount of $5,002.20 be hereby approved.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>4.\tRESOLVED that Duane Whyte be authorized to attend the Medical Services Committee meeting in Minitonas, MB on October 24th, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>5.\tRESOLVED that Duane Whyte and Glen McKenzie be authorized to attend the Medical Services Committee meeting on October 22nd, 2012 in Dauphin, MB.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>6.\tRESOLVED that the Aquatic Operations and Services Support Proposal for the Recreation &#038; Wellness Centre submitted by Dean Yaremchuk be hereby approved;<\/p>\n<p>AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that Mayor McKenzie be authorized to sign this proposal.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>7.\tRESOLVED that the September, 2012 R.C.M.P. Reports be received.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>8.\tRESOLVED that the accounts as follows be hereby approved for payment:<\/p>\n<p>(1) General Accounts from Cheque No. 12148 to No. 12229 for a total of $248,340.84.<br \/>\n(2) Payroll Account from Cheque No. 2940 to No. 2948 for a total of $73,798.85.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>9.\tRESOLVED that the Mayor and CAO be authorized to sign the Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Swan River and the Rural Municipality of Swan River regarding annexation.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>10.\tRESOLVED  that the Superintendent of Works and Building Inspection Reports be received.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>11.\tRESOLVED that, pursuant to Section 152(3) of The Municipal Act, Council go into Committee and close the meeting to the public.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>12.\tRESOLVED that pursuant to Section 152(4) of The Municipal Act this meeting be reopened to the public.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n<p>13.\tRESOLVED that this regular Meeting of Council now adjourn.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tCarried:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Council of the Town of Swan River met on Tuesday, October 16th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers with Mayor McKenzie presiding and Councillors Bobick, Jacobson, Friesen, Whyte and Sakal present.
