{"id":16820,"date":"2012-10-02T12:03:46","date_gmt":"2012-10-02T17:03:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/?p=16820"},"modified":"2012-10-02T12:03:46","modified_gmt":"2012-10-02T17:03:46","slug":"two-vehicle-collision-near-swan-river","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/2012\/10\/02\/two-vehicle-collision-near-swan-river\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Vehicle Collision Near Swan River"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/rcmp.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"rcmp\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-166\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/rcmp.jpg 200w, https:\/\/swanriver.valleybiz.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/rcmp-100x75.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>RCMP Media Release |<\/p>\n<p>On October 2, 2012 at about 7:00 am, the Swan River RCMP, Swan River Fire Dept, and Parkland EMS were dispatched to a call of a two vehicle motor vehicle collision on Hwy 83 &#038; PR 486, near Swan River, Manitoba. <\/p>\n<p><\/br>It appears that a 2007 GMC Sierra pickup truck driven by a 74 year old man from Swan River was southbound on Hwy # 83 and collided head-on with a northbound 2002 Chevrolet Impala.<\/p>\n<p>A 57 year old man from Benito, Manitoba had to be extricated from the Chevrolet Impala and subsequently transported via EMS to Swan Valley Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Swan River RCMP, a member of the Criminal Crash Investigation Team in consultation with an RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst are conducting a joint investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
