\"\"A Regular Meeting of Council of the Village of Benito was called to order at 7:00 pm on Tuesday September 11, 2012 in the Village Council Chambers.<\/p>\n

Present – Mayor Meadows; Deputy Mayor Scouten; Councilor Offenberger; Councilor Zebinski; Councilor Schneider
\nChief Administrative Officer – Pat Ellingson<\/p>\n

Mayor Meadows called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.<\/p>\n

1.
\nZEBINSKI
\nSCOUTEN
\nRESOLVED that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held on August 14, 2012 be adopted as presented.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

2.
\nSCHNEIDER
\nOFFENBERGER
\nRESOLVED that the agenda for the Regular meeting held on September 11, 2012 be adopted as presented.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

3.

\nSCOUTEN
\nRESOLVED that accounts numbered 24213 to 24285 in the amount totaling $ 58,279.88 be ratified as paid.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nRESOLVED that the Village of Benito authorize payment of invoices as attached hereto.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nWHERAS the 2012 Tax Sale will be held on November 15, 2012 and a public auction will be held for all properties not redeemed;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Benito set a reserve bid on each property in the amount of the tax arrears plus costs.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nSCHNEIDER
\nWHEREAS Section 300(6) of the Municipal Act provides for the correction of taxes due to changes in the physical condition or reclassification of properties as reported by the Assessment Branch;
\nAND WHEREAS that Village of Benito tax roll has properties which requires such corrections;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that property taxes totaling $3966.45 as per Schedule \u201cA\u201d affixed hereto be hereby cancelled.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nSCOUTEN
\nRESOLVED that The Village of Benito authorize payment of the 2012 Membership dues to the Association of Manitoba Municipalities in the amount of $715.43.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nZEBINSKI
\nOFFENBERGER
\nRESOLVED that the CAO be authorized to attend the Manitoba Municipal Administrator Association annual District Meeting in Grandview, MB on Monday September 17, 2012; and
\nBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that expenses be paid as per policy and that the Village office will be closed on Monday September 17, 2012.

\nRESOLVED that we do adjourn the meeting at 10:25pm.
