\"\"\tA Regular Meeting of Council of the Village of Benito was called to order at 7:00 pm on Tuesday August 14, 2012 in the Village Council Chambers.<\/p>\n

Present – Mayor Meadows; Deputy Mayor Scouten; Councilor Offenberger; Councilor Zebinski; Councilor Schneider<\/p>\n

\tChief Administrative Officer – Pat Ellingson<\/p>\n

\tDelegation: – Maintenance Department \u2013 Rick Kinaschuk, Maintenance Supervisor<\/p>\n

Mayor Meadows called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.<\/p>\n

1.\t\tSCHNEIDER
\nOFFENBERGER
\nRESOLVED that the minutes of the last Regular Meeting of Council held on July 17, 2012 and the Special Meeting held on August 2, 2012 be accepted as presented.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

2.\t\tZEBINSKI
\nSCOUTEN
\nRESOLVED that the agenda for the Regular meeting held on August 14, 2012 be adopted as presented.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

3.\t\tSCOUTEN
\nSCHNEIDER
\nBE IT RESOLVED that the August Maintenance report be accepted as presented.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

4.\t\tSCHNEIDER
\nZEBINSKI
\nRESOLVED that the Financial Statement to the month ending July 31, 2012 be accepted as presented.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

5.\t\tZEBINSKI
\nSCOUTEN
\nRESOLVED that accounts numbered 24148 to 24212 in the amount totaling $ 63,795.78 be ratified as paid.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

6.\t\tSCHNEIDER
\nZEBINSKI
\nWHEREAS the Village of Benito operates a waste disposal site on Crown Land under the authority of the Crown Land Act and Regulations Permit Number GP 0000651; and<\/p>\n

WHERAS the Village of Benito wishes to apply to the Crown Lands and Property Agency to expand the existing site;<\/p>\n

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief Administrative Officer be hereby authorized to make application for the said expansion and be authorized to sign the necessary documents and forward the application and fees as required on behalf of the municipality.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

7.\t\tOFFENBERGER
\nSCOUTEN
\nRESOLVED that the July\/August Animal Control Report be accepted as presented by the Animal Control Officer.<\/p>\n

Carried.<\/p>\n

8.\t\tOFFENBERGER
\nSCHNEIDER
\nWHEREAS Section 300(6) of the Municipal Act provides for the correction of taxes due to changes in the physical condition or reclassification of properties as reported by the Assessment Branch;<\/p>\n

AND WHEREAS the Village of Benito tax roll has a property which requires such a correction;<\/p>\n

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that property taxes totaling $796.90 as per Schedule \u201cA\u201d affixed hereto be hereby cancelled.

9.\t\tSCOUTEN
\nOFFENBERGER
\nRESOLVED that Pacak Kowal Hardie & Company of Swan River, Manitoba be appointed as the Village of Benito Auditor for the Audit year 2012.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

10.\t\tSCOUTEN
\nZEBINSKI
\nRESOLVED that pursuant to Section 152(3) of The Municipal Act, Council go into committee of the whole and close the meeting to the public.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

11.\t\tSCHNEIDER
\nSCOUTEN
\nRESOLVED that pursuant to Section 152(4) of the Municipal Act, that this meeting be re-opened to the public.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

12.\t\tZEBINSKI
\nOFFENBERGER
\nWHEREAS the Employee overtime reports have been received and reviewed by Council;<\/p>\n

BE IT RESOLVED that the July overtime be approved for payment as presented.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

13.\t\tZEBINSKI
\nSCOUTEN
\nRESOLVED that the Village of Benito authorize payment of the 2012 Summer Games support to the Swan Valley Host Society in the amount of $1381.00 as provided for in the 2012 Budget.
\nCarried.<\/p>\n

\nRESLOVED that we do adjourn the meeting at 10:10 pm.
