The storm that blew through the Swan Valley on Tuesday, June 26 destroyed property and tore up many trees, including most of the Cowan Wayside park. Some people say the park looks as though it has been clearcut.<\/p>\n

During the storm, trees fell on power lines and hydro poles were snapped. Initial estimates by Manitoba Hydro indicated it may be as long as 48 hours before power was restored to all customers. Now nearing the 60 hour mark, many people including those in Cowan and here at ValleyBiz, are still without power.<\/p>\n
