\nRESOLVED THAT the Agenda be adopted as presented.

\nRESOLVED THAT the Minutes of the Regular Meetings of Council held on April 4th, 2012 and April 18th, 2012 and the Special Meeting of Council held on April 11th, 2012 shall be adopted as circulated.

\nWHEREAS Westman Communications Group has submitted a request to renew \ttheir annual rental agreement for an area of the Minitonas Town Hall Facility;
\nAND WHEREAS the Minitonas Town Council is in agreement with the terms & conditions of said agreement renewal;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to accept the proposed renewal as per the terms and conditions outlined on the agreement as \tsubmitted, a copy of which is attached hereto.
\nBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Chief Administrative Officer shall be authorized to sign said agreement on behalf of the municipality.

\nWHEREAS the RM & Town of Minitonas Fire Protection Committee have \tsubmitted a recommendation to change the Fire Response Boundaries set by their \tFire Department and the Bowsman Fire Department in the Northwest portion of the \tRM of Minitonas;
\nAND WHEREAS the removal of the ford crossing Rd #222N between S1\/2 5-38-25 WPM and N1\/2 32-37-25 WPM has made it impractical for the two fire \tdepartments to continue to respond to fire calls under the old boundaries;
\nAND WHEREAS the Minitonas Town Council is in agreement with the proposal \tsubmitted by the Fire Committee for the new fire response boundaries as shown on \tthe attached map, and have received agreement to the new boundaries from the Village of Bowsman;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to adopt the New Boundaries for 911 Fire\/Emergency Response between the RM & Town of \tMinitonas Fire Department and the Bowsman Fire Department as attached hereto;
\nBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Chief Administrative Officer shall be authorized to submit said changes to the 911 Response Centre immediately.

\nRESOLVED THAT the Public Works Report for the month of April, 2012 shall be accepted as submitted by the Town Foreman, a copy of which is attached hereto.

\nWHEREAS the Public Works Employee Overtime Reports have been received & \treviewed by Council;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT all applicable overtime hours recorded for the month of April, 2012 shall be paid out with the May 15, 2012 payroll or booked for future use as indicated on the aforementioned reports, copies of which have been attached hereto.

\nRESOLVED THAT the Minitonas Town Council does hereby agree to the attached request for connection to the power supply at the Minitonas Town Hall.

8.
\nS. Windsor \u2013 J. Caruk
\nWHEREAS the Minitonas Town Council has received a request for support of the establishment of a new \u2018Safe House\u2019 in the Swan River Valley;
\nAND WHEREAS this is a valuable service that operated for several years, but was closed due to funding cuts, leaving no alternative services for many persons in distress who do not qualify under existing programs;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Minitonas Town Council does hereby agree to submit a letter of support \u2018in principle\u2019 for the re-establishment of a \u2018Safe House\u2019 in the Swan River Valley.

\nRESOLVED THAT the meeting does hereby adjourn to the Public Hearing for the 2012 Financial Plan at 7:00 pm.

\nWHEREAS the Public Hearing for the 2012 Financial Plan is now adjourned;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we now reopen the regular meeting of the Minitonas Town Council at 8:30 pm and continue the regular business on the meeting agenda.

\nRESOLVED THAT By-Law No. 3\/2012, being a By-Law of the Town of Minitonas for the purpose of adopting a Financial Plan for the 2012 Fiscal Year, \tshall be read a second time this 2nd day of May, 2012 A.D.

\nRESOLVED THAT By-Law No. 3\/2012, being a By-Law of the Town of Minitonas for the purpose of establishing a Financial Plan for the 2012 Fiscal Year, \tshall be read a third time this 2nd day of May, 2012 A.D., signed and sealed by the \tChief Administrative Officer.

\nWHEREAS, under the terms of By-Law No. 2\/2007, the attached property has become unsightly;
\nTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the owner of the aforementioned property shall be given written notice advising that the condition of said properties \tshall be rectified by the deadline of May 11, 2012;
\nBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, should the condition of the property not be corrected by the aforementioned deadline, the Town Council shall provide authorization for the work to be completed and the associated costs of said work shall be billed to the property owners accordingly.
