A Regular Meeting of Council of the Village of Benito was called to order at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in the Village Council Chambers.

Mayor Meadows called the meeting to order at 7:00pm

RESOLVED that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held on December 13, 2011 and the Specal Meeting held on December 14, 2011 be adopted as presented.
Carried.

RESOLVED that the agenda for the meeting held on January 10, 2012 be adopted as amended.
Carried.

RESOLVED that the Audit Report and Financial Statements as prepared by Pacak Kowal, Hardie & Company Chartered Accountants, for the Year ending December 31, 2010 be accepted as presented.
Carried.

RESOLVED that accounts numbered 23678 and 23776 in the amount totaling $106,233.52 be ratified as paid.
Carried.

RESOLVED that the Village of Benito authorize payment of the (WRARS) Landfill Levy to Green Manitoba for the reporting period July 1 to December 31, 2011 in the amount of $941.54 as required by the Waste Reduction and Recycling Support Program.

RESOLVED that the Village of Benito authorize the 2011 grant to the Benito and District Recreation Complex in the amount of $1,000.00.
Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Village appoint Bernice Bowley of Winnipeg, Manitoba as the Village Solicitor for the Year 2012.

RESOLVED that the Village of Benito authorize payment of the December remittances as follows:
Public School Finance Board $255.29
Swan Valley School Division $975.90
Carried.

9.
SCHNEIDER

RESOLVED that the Village of Benito extend the 2006 Agreement made with Louis Delaurier of Swan River, Manitoba to provide Municipal Part 9 Building Code inspection services for the period from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 2011 fees as per Schedule “A” affixed hereto be approved for payment.

WHEREAS the Employee overtime reports have been received and reviewed by Council;
BE IT RESOLVED that the said reports be approved for payment as presented.

RESOLVED that the Chief Administrative Officer and the Office Clerk be authorized to attend the training offered by Munisoft in Minitonas on February 11, 2012; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that registration and expenses be authorized for payment.
