The Council of the Town of Swan River met on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers with Councillor Friesen presiding and Councillors Bobick, Jacobson, Sakal and Whyte present. Absent were Mayor McKenzie and Councillor Delaurier.
1. RESOLVED that Councillor Friesen be authorized to Chair the January 3rd, 2012 meeting of Council in the absence of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

2. RESOLVED that the minutes of the December 20th, 2011 regular meeting of Council be adopted as received.

4. RESOLVED that Council members be authorized to attend a Manitoba Emergercy Management Course being held in Ochre River, MB on February 1st and 2nd, 2012.

5. RESOLVED that Council authorize a grant in the amount of $400.00 to the Swan Valley Fine Arts Festival Association to encourage artistic growth and appreciation of the Performing Arts in the Swan Valley.
