Barrows Gospel Jamboree 2025

All those who were able to attend the Jamboree were blessed. The crowd was smaller than usual, but we heard some reports of people not being able to attend because of the smoke. Maybe this also kept others away that we have not heard of. Friday started out hot and clear and no smoke. Then Saturday and Sunday there was some smoke around.

2 of our singers were unable to attend for various reasons. But there were a couple local ladies, Charlotte Evans and Josephine Genaille, who filled in some of the gaps. The other main singers also got more singing time. All the singers were a blessing and enjoyed by all.

We also had Living Books distributors Dave and Kathy McGill on site for the weekend. This was a great place to stock up on books, cards, kids sticker books etc. Their grandson also came to help with set up, and computer stuff.

We had an abundance of good food. Fruit plates were a hit with the hot weather.

Food prep was supervised by Mary Spence from Barrows.

This year, helpers Reta Jones from Cowan, and Charissa Isaac from Gladstone helped greatly to see that food was available. Randy Plett did an excellent job of making fries and burgers. Melvin and Violet Plett also helped with food service.

Singers Carl Crane from Prince Albert, SK and Kene & Milly Jackson from Acme, AB teamed up for a couple numbers.

Thanks to all the singers who came. Thanks to Michael Plett for being MC again. Thanks to all those who attended, or even just stopped by for awhile. You were a blessing to the organizers. Thanks to the people who prayed for this event, and who helped in many other ways. Thanks to the town of Barrows for the use of their facilities. Thanks to God our Father who allowed us to run this event. We pray that His message was presented to everyone who attended. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
