A series of strong solar storms has caused increased activity in the night skies. Over the past week the Northern Lights have been making frequent appearances over the Valley.
Beyond the usual green hues, the aurora borealis danced across the sky in stunning colors of red, pink, purple and blue. At times the colorful display could be seen extending down to all directions of the horizon.
