$159,918 Green Team Funding for Swan River Constituency

Rick Wowchuk MLA for Swan River is welcoming an announcement that the Government of Manitoba is supporting local community organizations, municipalities and provincial parks delivering Green Team projects this upcoming summer.

“As we face the economic challenges brought on by COVID-19, these projects will provide important employment opportunities for youth in our communities,” said Wowchuk.

The $10 million Green Team investment is expected to support over 2,000 jobs province-wide to aid in Manitoba’s COVID-19 recovery efforts. This includes a total of $159,918.00 for the following projects in the SWAN RIVER constituency:

 Binscarth Park and Pool $10,315.00
 Lake of the Prairies Conservation District $ 5,704.00
 Rossburn Recreation Commission $ 1,673.00
 Barrows Community Council $ 7,772.00
 Camperville Community Council $ 3,222.00
 Camperville Youth Centre $ 3,159.00
 Dawson Bay Community Council $ 3,095.00
 Duck Bay Community Council $14,938.00
 Duck Mountain Forest Centre $ 2,105.00
 Elbert Chartrand Friendship Centre $ 7,018.00
 Ethelbert Skating Rink $ 6,189.00
 Inter-Mountain Watershed District $30,945.00

Participants will work on a variety of community development projects that improve SWAN RIVER CONSTITUENCY neighbourhoods, promote community involvement and help develop young leaders.
